Premier League side Crystal Palace are set to sign non-league star Freddie Ladapo, according to reports
Ladapo is currently plying his trade for non-league side Margate and the striker managed to impress a host of professional sides after scoring an impressive 25 goals in 2015.
Ladapo’s exploits had even caught the eye of Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew and the 54-year old decided to hand the 23-year old a trail recently.
Claims were made that Ladapo had only one game to prove that he is worthy of earning a contract at the club during the Palace Under-21’s clash against Watford and he certainly did so.
Palace won the game comfortably with a 5-0 margin and the star of the show for the Eagles during the game was Ladapo, who grabbed a stunning hat trick on the day.
The performance most certainly has gone a long way in impressing the Palace hierarchy and now claims have been made that the Eagles are planning to offer the striker a professional contract.
Even Watford are said to have been impressed with Ladapo’s performance during the clash and as a result, Palace are speeding up the process to land the services of the 23-year old on a permanent deal.
