Crystal Palace are considering a move for Kortney Hause as the long term replacement for the ageing Damien Delaney, according to reports emerging out of England
There is no arguing with the fact that Damien Delaney has been a wonderful servant for Crystal Palace since joining the club from Ipswich Town back in 2012 and the Irishman has proven crucial in the Eagles’ decent season in the Premier League as well as a fine run to the Final of the FA Cup this term.
That being said, Delaney is now 34 and it is very likely that manager Alan Pardew will have to look at potential long term replacements for the veteran defender before too long.
It is widely believed that Pardew is planning to sign a new defender as a heir to Delaney in the Palace centre back position at the end of the current season and a number of names have started being linked with a move to Selhurst Park in recent times.
Hause wanted by Palace
Now according to reports emerging out of England, claims are being made that Palace are considering a swoop for young centre back Kortney Hause in the summer.
Hause has managed to establish himself as a regular for Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers this season and due to his impressive performances, the 20-year old has managed to attract the interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Palace are said to be among the clubs very interested in signing Hause and reports claim that Pardew has identified the youngster as the ideal long term centre back for the Eagles.
Hause only signed a contract extension with Wolves back in February and one can be sure that Palace will probably have to splash a sizeable amount to lure the defender away from Molineux this summer.
