Crystal Palace are currently planning a swoop for Portuguese international Adrien Silva, according to reports from Goal
Despite already securing the services of quality players such as James Tomkins, Andros Townsend and Steven Mandanda, Crystal Palace’s ambition in the transfer market is showing no signs of slowing down and the Eagles are now being linked with moves for the likes of Christian Benteke, Simone Zaza and Robin van Persie among others.
Now in another high profile link, reports from Goal have revealed that Palace are currently considering a swoop for Portuguese international midfielder Adrien Silva.
Adrien is considered as one of the most impressive goal scoring midfield players in Europe at the moment and the 27-year-old has enjoyed a couple of very productive seasons with Sporting Lisbon over the past four years.
Silva could be set for Palace move
In addition to his exploits at club level, Adrien has played a key role in helping the Portuguese national team earn a place in the final of the 2016 European Championships and he is now widely expected to be starting for the Selecao on the night.
As a result, it has been no surprise whatsoever in seeing a host of clubs expressing their interest in signing Adrien this summer and Palace are believed to be very keen on landing the services of the former Maccabi Haifa man this summer.
The Premier League side are reported to have already opened talks with the midfielder over a potential transfer but they will face stiff competition to acquire his services as even the likes of Stoke City and Napoli are keen at the moment.
